Congregational Meeting
TONIGHT, Sunday, January 10, after Live@5

Each year LSCC hosts two congregational meetings (in January and June) in order to reflect on what God has done in and through us, to consider what he is calling us to next, and to do the important work of electing officers and passing our operating budget.

On January 10th at 6pm, we’ll have the opportunity to come together to hear a short reflection from Pastor Chris and for partners to vote on the operating budget for 2021.

More details will follow, but please save the date! All are invited and partners should expect to participate if at all possible.

In November we brought you, Light Up the Lot.
This February 16th—Fat Tuesday—we’re upping our game with CAR-nival.

From 4:30-6pm on Tuesday, February 16th, you are invited for a drive-through experience at the church parking lot. You’ll receive supplies for entering into the Lenten season which begins on Ash Wednesday (February 17th this year). From meal ideas and crafting supplies, to a prayer calendar and ashes for our Ash Wednesday service, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to see some friendly faces and be blessed with a Lenten care package.

Frazier Meal Train

Dear church family,
Emily Frazier is experiencing more acute symptoms of an autoimmune issue in her body. Will you join us in blessing the family by preparing meals to help ease the stress and discomfort on her body? Find the Meal Train link in your LSCC Update email or contact us for more information.

Chloe’s Meal Train
Nicole Burdick’s neighbor, Chloe, is in need of meals. She has faced a difficult few months post-hip replacement surgery. Please help in blessing this neighbor in need. Please check your weekly update or contact us for the link to the Meal Train sign up. Chloe requests contactless delivery of homemade meals or Grubhub/DoorDash gift cards.

And something for the kids (and everyone) to participate in, Chloe loves getting cards!

Upcoming Kids’ Church Zoom Gatherings
January 17th- Spruce (1st grade)
January 24th- Doug Fir (Kinders)

Read Scripture

With the new calendar year nearly upon us, you may have been thinking of making some resolutions. Many people take this opportunity to work on eating better, excising more, or learning a new skill.
As followers of Jesus we may also want to be more intentional about our relationship with God. There are so many different practices and resources to help us, but if you’re looking for a place to start, you can’t get much more foundational than reading scripture.
Last year I read through the Bible using the app, Read Scripture, produced by the Bible Project. It’s free, simple to use, and customizable for your schedule.
Each book of the Bible includes an introductory video by the Bible Project team. Each day you will be encouraged to pray, read a few chapters, followed by one Psalm.
Stick with the plan and in one year you will have read the entire Bible, learned about every book in the Bible, and read through the Psalms more than twice!
Again, the app is free!
Won’t you consider joining me on this journey through scripture in 2021?
Bless you,

We will be continuing to connect at 5pm Sundays via Zoom each Sunday, to all gather at one place at one time to participate in worship together.
