Happy Birthday to:

Allison Leckie (TODAY, November 1)

We invite you to join us on Friday, November 20 as we offer supplies to help you and your household prepare for the Advent Season!

From 5-6:30 pm LSCC staff will be available in the LSCC parking lot. As you drive through, we will offer you the following:
  • An opportunity to donate particularly needed items to the Family Resource Center of the Bellingham Public Schools
  • Advent Wreath Making Supplies
  • An advent devotional book for each adult
  • Kids’ and Families’ Advent and Jesse Tree crafts
  • Cozy Snacks to enjoy while watching The Grinch, It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf, A Christmas Carol, and Charlie Brown Christmas in following with the sermon series
  • Your new LSCC Directory
We can’t wait to see all your faces again as you drive-through this physically-distanced event!

Let’s face it, nine months into this physical distanced, pandemic reality and the verdict is in—the church is meant to be together in person! How we long for that day.
In the meantime, we have been trying to create spaces to safely interact in small groups, zoom, and online resources. One bit of silver lining to all of this is that people who may be hungry for Jesus yet would not have been comfortable attending a worship gathering in person, are engaging in the online materials.
While this is not ideal, it does provide people an opportunity to be exposed to scripture, Jesus, and a bit of our ethos without the social anxieties associated with “regular church.”
We encourage you to be praying for your friends, family, and acquaintances who are not rooted in Christ and part of his church. If it seems appropriate, consider inviting someone to participate with us either live on Zoom or by checking out the archives online
If you invite someone to the Live@5 service, please inform Elizabeth of their name so the Zoom Master knows to expect them.

The Kids’ Church Zooms have been AMAZING!  So fun to see kids and hear kids talk about their lives!  Although connecting via a screen is not my first choice, it’s at least a small and important connection point for kids (and me, too!).  Thank you parents for helping get your kids set-up and assisting as needed.  Extra thanks to my Zoom Kids’ Ministry helpers this past month: Melanie Ginoza, Abby Stocker, Jeff Milsten, and Morgan Lingbloom.  I have learned a lot and so appreciate their partnership, patience, and laughter.

4pm Sundays:

November 1st: Cedar (formerly E2)
November 8st: Larch (2nd Grade)
November 15th: Spruce (1st Grade)
November 22nd: Doug Fir (Kindergarten)

Jen will be emailing the parents of the group Sunday morning with the Zoom invite.

We will be continuing to connect at 5pm Sundays via Zoom each Sunday, to all gather at one place at one time to participate in worship together.

If you want to join our congregation on Sunday but haven’t been receiving our Sunday emails, please register here!
