Lighthouse Mission Gifts

This Christmas Season we get to partner again with the Lighthouse Mission to provide gifts for the guests in their recovery programs! If you want to be a part of this you can look for the online sign-up starting Sunday, November 22 and plan to return the gifts to Elizabeth at the LSCC parking Lot on Sunday afternoon, December 13 from 2-3pm.

For those who would like to be reimbursed, you can email a picture of your receipt to our Treasurer, Cory Hoeger.

*If that time doesn’t work for you to drop off gifts, please contact Elizabeth Holland to find another time/place.

Let’s face it, nine months into this physical distanced, pandemic reality and the verdict is in—the church is meant to be together in person! How we long for that day.

In the meantime, we have been trying to create spaces to safely interact in small groups, zoom, and online resources. One bit of silver lining to all of this is that people who may be hungry for Jesus yet would not have been comfortable attending a worship gathering in person, are engaging in the online materials.

While this is not ideal, it does provide people an opportunity to be exposed to scripture, Jesus, and a bit of our ethos without the social anxieties associated with “regular church.”

We encourage you to be praying for your friends, family, and acquaintances who are not rooted in Christ and part of his church. If it seems appropriate, consider inviting someone to participate with us either live on Zoom or by checking out the archives online

If you invite someone to the Live@5 service, please inform Elizabeth of their name so the Zoom Master knows to expect them.

Children’s Church Zoom Calls

This Sunday at 4pm is the Larch Group Zoom! I hope you are getting a good chuckle from listening to our sweet and wonderful discussions. I especially love hearing their prayer requests each week. They are so thoughtful, in tune with their communities, and compassionate! My heart rejoices with them and hurts as well, I can only imagine how our Father in Heaven feels!

4pm Sundays:

November 8st: Larch (2nd Grade)

November 15th: Spruce (1st Grade)
November 22nd: Doug Fir (Kindergarten)

Jen will be emailing the parents of the group Sunday morning with the Zoom invite.

It’s not too late to join us as we engage in a 10-week course called Re-Frame, by Regent College!

See Here for more information, or to sign up for Chris’ group!

We will be continuing to connect at 5pm Sundays via Zoom each Sunday, to all gather at one place at one time to participate in worship together.

If you want to join our congregation on Sunday but haven’t been receiving our Sunday emails, please register here!
